Naomi Judd was lost to mental illness today. Judd openly discussed her history of depression. She and her daughter Wynonna were scheduled to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame on Sunday. Naomi Judd is an American success story rising from poverty to riches and fame through timeless music that crossed genres of music and helped put country music on the map. She left her career at the height of success 31 years ago, after contracting hepatitis.

Naomi Judd was also the mother of actress Ashley Judd. Naomi Judd led a full life in her 76 years. Still fans are left wondering what may have been, had her career not be cut short.
